Permanent Vacation
Justice & Truth Reigns
I even took on an additional position to work some weekend hours from home because we never had any money, even though he made a very good living, but I digress… The point of all this rambling is to let you know that my life is like a vacation compared to the past. While I definitely miss my son when he’s with his dad, I am no longer solely responsible for him 99% of the time. I now work ONE full-time job with occasional overtime. I do a reasonable amount of housework and a small amount of outdoor upkeep.
It’s like a fantasy sometimes! Because my work schedule is very compressed, I often have three days off each week. When my son’s at school on those days, I can hang with the dogs, go to the gym, the library, or even take a nap!
After years of running on empty, it’s nice to have a break.
