This is so messed up...

My EX wants my 12-year-old daughter to take a sex-ed class sponsored by the Unitarian Church. He's a member. I'm not. It's a friggin 12-week course held every Sunday for 3 months. It's intense. They cover a lot of stuff like sex abuse, STDs, teen pregnancy, masturbation, gender identity...it kicks off with a co-ed sleep over that covers sexuality and body awareness!!! Does this sound like a cult to anyone else?

My daughter was not keen on going and I wasn't keen on sending her. Then her dad tried to bribe her by promising her a cell phone. I was livid at that. I told him, "You want her to take a sexuality class that she doesn't want to take, so you're BRIBING HER WITH A PHONE?!? That's bullshit!

I think he wants her to take the course so he can look good to all his Unitarian pals. And that's not good enough for me.After I looked at the course curriculum again, I wrote him this email: "The more I look over the course description the more I do not want our daughter to take this course at this time. I don't think she's emotionally ready for it. She hasn't even started her period. I really want her to wait until next year. And it's not like I don't discuss this stuff with her. I do. Do you? Quite honestly I wish you had taken this course. Especially the "Lovemaking is more than Sex" and "Dating & Lifetime Commitments".

Needless to say I haven't anything from him.
