A Marriage Up In Flames

It was a bad day for one 21-year-old Framingham man. Apparently, 21-year-old Paul Schnaider wasn't happy about splitting up with his wife. Cops say that the perp allegedly attempted to hit his wife, destroy their stuff and then he really turned on the heat.

After an argument, Schnaider's wife bailed to seek refuge with a friend. Later in the evening she returned to the apartment.

Here's what the cops say transpired:

"He began to insult her and made several verbal threats," said Deputy Police Chief Craig Davis. "He said he was going to beat here and 'smash' her face. He began burning the divorce papers. He began to chase her with the papers on fire."

Schnaider pleaded not guilty to the charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and intimidation of a witness.

The big question is... is Schnaider confused about why he and his wife are getting divorced?
