A T.O.W.-Free Halloween

The World According To Kiki & J-Fed

For years I've been haunted by Halloween. And it has nothing to do with ghosts or goblins, but a whole lot to do with one certain witch. I could go into detail about all of the Halloweens since The Other Woman came into my life, but I'll just focus on the last two.

It's no secret that T.O.W. (The Other Woman) had been doing the job on my marriage, even while J-Fed and I were still together. You see, J-Fed would always tell me that maybe he and I would be better off as friends. Of course, this was while I was at least six or seven months pregnant with our second child. Better of as friends? I'm thinking better of dead is more
like it, him, not me. You know, when he would utter these sentiments, it started
to occur to me that maybe they weren't coming from him, since he rarely had an original thought of his own, unless it involved wheeling, dealing or go-carts.

It didn't take long for me to put two and two together and get 666. Yes, as in the devil's number. I had a sneaking suspicion that they were being spoon-fed to him by one backdooring bitch who lived a couple houses down, also known as The Other Woman.

So let's take a trip down memory lane. It was Halloween 2006. Daughter #1 was five, and daughter #2 was four weeks. I can't exactly recall why J-Fed wasn't speaking to me but I vaguely remember it had something to do with me saying I wanted him to stop disappearing for two hours every night and to pull a cease and desist when it came to hanging around with his favorite hanger-on T.O.W. Needless to say, J-Fed explained to me that he wouldn't be doing Halloween this year. When he said it, I failed to realize that what he meant is that
he wouldn't be doing Halloween with me. No, after I took daughter #1 trick or treating,
it was only a matter of minutes after I returned home that The Other Woman came a knock,
knocking on my door.
