Happy Birthday To Me
Mr. Divorce Me Not
Well, yesterday was my birthday. I had cake with my son. I really enjoy the time I spend with him. He chose lemon cake, and I had butter cream. He said that I spit all over the cake
when I blew out the candles so he wanted the lemon cake. We are going to get a video game as a shared present and then we will bond some more over the game.
Divorce is really hard. I miss not seeing my son as often as I once did when I was married to my wife. He is 10 and plays the tuba. I went to his concert and that was very nice. Being around my son is a priority. The biggest downfall to divorce is the break up of the family. I have to make the best of it and realize that the quality of our time together has to outweigh the quantity of our time together.
I am setting some goals. Some day my son will be grown and off to college. We have to stay close. It is important that I maintain a good relationship with my ex-wife. Family is the most important thing there is in life. All men go through a little depression after divorce. Stay positive when you are around children and if you don't have any ...just stay positive! So to recap ... maintain good relationships and don't fall prey to negative feelings.
