I never trusted J-Fed with the camcorder and with good reason. I'd look back at home
movies a few years after they were taken, and I'd spend 20 minutes staring at my ass on the big screen. And of course, what would an ass video be without a running commentary from J-Fed. Don't get me wrong -- he was never critical.  In a way I found it flattering, I didn't think J-Fed had the ability to focus on anything for an extended period of time, least not
my ass.

It had been so long since we had made any home movies -- and not the kind you're thinking either. Cause Lord knows if J-Fed had homegrown porn, featuring me in it, he'd be turning a profit some how, som eway. I guess all of this had slipped my mind when I handed him the camcorder. But after looking at video from our daughter's second birthday party that was taken earlier today, it's all fresh in my mind.

Let me preface this by saying the party was amazing. You see, my nephew and my daughter were born exactly a year apart to the day. So it only made sense that we would have a joint party, as my brother and I run in the same circle of friends. Of course, J-Fed and I hadn't seen a handful of these people since the divorce. And it goes without saying that he was there with bells on. I could say that the entire thing was awkward, but it wasn't in the least bit. J-Fed and I had this whole co-parenting thing down to a science by now.

And aside from the times when we were fighting about money (he didn't have), we really got on quite well. While I may not have trusted the Fedster with my life, I did trust him with my handy dandy camera. I assigned him the task of videotaping the fiesta. It was at one of those kiddie gyms so there was plenty of activity to catch on tape. From bouncing balls to parallel bars to the parachute, he could focused on a zillion things. And for a while he did just that.
