Honey, Have You Seen My Brain?
Mrs. B’s Bemusements
My husband constantly misplaces and forgets things. I'm not talking about him putting condiments on the wrong shelf in the fridge either. I let that go since it's just something I'm picky about.
He '"loses" his keys, his wallet, his money, his cell phone. This is one of the reasons I don't like him using my stuff. He will tear the house apart getting madder & madder that he can't find whatever he is looking for... and then ask me where it is.
Now how am I supposed to know where his stuff is? "When is the last time you saw/used it honey?" "I don't know, just help me look for it!" Of course, this always happens as he is heading out somewhere so he proceeds to rush around like a maniac. I have found his keys in the door lock, his wallet in the hamper --or should I say on the floor next to the hamper-- and his money in grocery bags in the garbage.
Twice last week he told me he went to work without cash. The first day I knew before he told me since I found money on the floor under the table when I woke up. The second day he told me he KNEW he had money on the table but couldn't find it when he left. That day the money was under some mail he had been reading. Of course he couldn't find it because he would have had to actually pick up an envelope to see it.
I kind of shrug this lack of cash off though since we always have cash in the house and he knows where we keep it. So why can't he just go get some?
There have been times he's sat on the remote (without feeling it...how??) and then asked me where I put it. I always put the remote right next to the TV when I turn it off while he leaves it on the table, the couch, his desk, the floor.
