How To Have A Man-Friendly Environment

Mrs. B’s Bemusements

These are things I do or have done to make my home more man friendly, which in turn makes my life easier to some extent.

Most of my linens and towels are dark colors. This is so I can keep them on the bed or rack longer than a day.

When I shop for hubby I buy him dark colored shirts and black socks for his every day clothes. This helps when he inevitably gets dirty because he decided to work on his motorcycle or truck, dig trenches, build stuff, I think you get the idea.

I might start buying his casual-going out clothes in dark colors also bcause the last 2 times we went out he stained his pants. The first time he was wearing tan dockers and he dribbled his drink on his leg. I told him NOT to rub it, just ignore it until we got home.

The reason I said this was because the club had red napkins. Do I even have to continue? The second time was just the other day. He had on grey Dockers & got mustard on the outside of his pocket.

Place male snacks, beverages, and condiments at his eye level if possible. Otherwise put them dead center so he is more likely to find them without tearing apart the fridge or pantry.

For a long time I bought fancy plastic cups and glasses because he went through a glass breaking phase. After like two years he asked me if I could please buy some "grown up" glasses.

Heavy duty vinyl shower curtain liners last a long time without tearing. Vinyl shower curtains are easier to clean than material ones. These two no longer apply to me since I have my own bathroom :-)

Fancy pillows & duvet covers are best left in the guest room.

Plastic table cloths & placemats don't retain stains like Grandma's 100-year-old handmade Christmas one.
