No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

The World According To Kiki & J-Fed

One hour. That’s all I wanted.

Supernanny has moved on to a better place – Cancun to be specific. Despite my cries, pleas and outright begging, she had to go. How could I blame her? A two-month internship at a tropical paradise. Hell, at this point, I’d trade places with her. But ‘twas not to be. We said a tearful goodbye, and I asked her to consider returning after her position was complete. My fingers are crossed.

With Mary Poppins back in Mexico, I’m on my own for the most part. Momma Kuku has been pulling double shifts to help me out. The baby is in daycare, daughter is in 1st grade, the puppy is in its crate and big boy is enjoying a bit of peace and quiet for the first time in months.

No longer having the luxury to come and go as I please, I needed just one hour from the Fedster. That’s all. One hour. Sixty minutes. He had been gracious enough to take daughter to dance class from 5 to 6. On his way back, I asked if he could please watch the girls for an hour while I went to run a couple of errands. Because it was getting late, I needed him to watch them at my house, as the baby’s bedtime was near.

History should have told me I would have been far better off asking one of the neighborhood kids or even the new puppy to keep an eye on the children while I was gone. When J-Fed was overtired, he wasn’t worth the poop that comes out of my dog’s butt.

I’m not knocking J-Fed… yet. In his defense, he’d had a long day. I don’t know if it was as long as my day – or the sleepless nights I’ve had with the presence of the new puppy – but I’m sure his day was tiresome nonetheless.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, I promised to make my absence as brief as possible. It’s important to point out that despite giving me the puppy, he’s returned to be curt and abrupt with me for the most part. Like they say, nothing lasts forever.
