Short & Sweet

The other night while we were eating dinner and chitchatting Mr. B laughingly said: "where would I be without you?" It was just a response to whatever goofiness we were talking about.

I replied a little seriously with "well x might not  have happened if you had been with someone else," x being something sort of bad that happened in our past that could or could not have happened had we been with others -- and no it wasn't cheating.

Then to keep it light I added "you might have more money, you probably wouldn't be living here in this house and you wouldn't be eating chicken soup right now."
 
He looked up at me dead serious and said, "No, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I'm glad you're here with me" and then he kissed me right on the lips.

I got all giggly like a schoolgirl. You see, Mr. B is not overly affectionate or emotional so this was way out of character for him. This is just one of those little things that men don't even think twice about that can mean so much to us ladies.

I'm sure if I brought it up now or showed him this post he'd grunt and wave it off, but it's still making me feel good three days later :-)
