What now? Time for some reflection...

The Ex Files

I'm ringing out the old and ringing in the new and it got me thinking about where I am in my life, and all the things I want to accomplish. I started asking myself some questions that might help you see things in a new perspective. By the way, I'd love to see your answers...I'll list mine in parantheses...

If you could go back in time to when you first met your EX, would you still marry him? Please explain your answer. (I doubt it. I know for sure that I wouldn't have married him as quickly as I did. I think I would live with him for a time and then ultimately move on.  But it's clear he wasn't emotionally mature enough to get married and raise a family.)

As you went through your divorce, what did you discover about yourself that most surprised you? (I became a very tough negotiator. I wasn't afraid to go to the edge to get what I wanted. I was very good at looking after my and my daughter's interests. I was almost sorry that I wasn't an attorney...)

List and celebrate all of your strengths. (I'm smart, a hard worker, very resilient entrepreneurial, I've got a good sense of humor and sense of fun, and I'm a good and loyal friend.)

Last year, when were you the saddest? And what made you the happiest? And what do you need to do to spend more time being happier? (My daughter asked me what my favorite holiday was and I told her I don't have one anymore. That was the saddest time. The happiest was when I got out of the wheelchair I was stuck in for four weeks. To be happier, I know I need to spend more time being creative and writing the things I want to write.)

If you could have any wish granted, what would it be? (That I can sell one of my writing concepts, especially my animation idea.)
